Home Theater System

What is a home theater? A home theater delivers the cinematic experience to the comfort of your home. It includes a display device such as an LCD TV, plasma TV or projector; a video source such as a DVD player, VHS player or laser disc player; an audio decoder to create surround sound; and speakers.

Fuller Homes has teamed up with Builder AV, that allows you to personally select components for your optional Home Theatre System. We have designed three base packages you can select from however, you have the ability to freely design and expand any base package to suit your own personal style and needs.

  • The size of the room affects the size of the screen or TV. A large room should have a larger screen or TV, while small rooms need a smaller picture.

  • Home theaters are designed for completely dark rooms. To create an optimal visual and audio entertainment system, cover windows with curtains, not blinds. Curtains help maintain sound quality.

  • LCD TVs display better pictures in rooms with windows or a lot of light. Plasma TVs and projectors produce the greatest pictures in dark rooms.

  • With the simple addition of a subwoofer, a cinema-like experience is instantly replicated. A subwoofer should be positioned near a corner, reinforcing the bass sound. However, if that is not possible, situate the subwoofer one third of the way down the wall; this placement will create a better sound.

  • There is no standard method that measures surround sound power. The best way to improve power to a home theater's audio system is by adding a more powerful receiver and/or more efficient speakers.
